A day set for Portofino as it turns out we are actually in Rapallo. And will need to travel the 10 or so minutes around the peninsula to get to Portofino.
Last night after Jim and I crashed, Jay and Carrie ventured into town for pizza.

After a great breakfast overlooking the sea, 3 of us are off to do a little shopping. Jay will stay by the pool and hold spaces…don’t worry it is not a stressful job.
The 3 of us head downtown for a little retail therapy.
And now back to the pool…and the ocean (for Carrie at least)
And look, there’s water aerobics class right there!
Wish I understood Italian AND didn’t mind very cold water.
Time to clean up for dinner. Going to Portofino tonight.

Most restaurants were booked – but they graciously seated us at a restaurant owned by two brothers…Paolo and Mario. It was delicious we all had some kind of pesto pasta
Jim’s had pretty much the same ingredients as Carrie but his pasta was different
Mine was lasagne with pesto
Carrie’s had pesto, shorter pasta and some beans and small potatoes in it.
Jay had his with clams
You can see how well we all did
Time for a gelato and a quick taxi trip home
